While Mumbai Kauthig is popularly seen as an annual community festival that keeps us close to our roots and culture, its core purpose goes much beyond the event – to being the community service that helps foster the spirit of brotherhood and humanity. Over the last 14 years, Mumbai Kauthig and its associated institutions and community action groups have done yeoman service in terms of contributions for the welfare of our community and society – in thought, in kind and indeed. Mumbai Kauthing is blessed to have the blessings of Mangla Mataji & Bhole Maharaj ji of Hans Foundation, in its various efforts.

Some of the social welfare initiatives include:

• Successfully pensioning 13 widows and senior citizens to provide support to them through monthly and quarterly pensions.
• Sponsoring a net worth of Rs. 4.5 lakhs towards educating needy children within the community.
• Enabling market opportunity for more than 200 micro farmers and artisans from the hills to showcase and sell their products.
• Providing a platform to more than 300 skilled artists to showcase their talent.
• Building social cohesion & promoting youth talent through sports - two marathon runs held over the last year and organizing and sponsoring highly popular cricket tournaments.
